Verified. It does sound very much like the video you showed however your link isn't working but i managed to find it. If i add the link though mine doesn't seem to work. If anyone else cares to look at it you can find it by searching for "dean hazelwanter phase shifter". Not sure how useful this will be but it does do some right crazy shit which is fun.
I had a unique opportunity to be off from work for a couple of months and had planned on working on the house, mountain biking and pedal building through June.
3rd ride out I fell on my way back home. Knobby tires and slightly wet pavement not a good combination.
Thought I had just dislocated my leg. A couple days later the leg cramped up and I slipped and fell in the bathroom and broke it clean through, probably had already been fractured.
No cast, apparently the surgeon built a plate and screwed the top of the femur back in place with 3 or 4 screws. He told my wife he expects a full recovery, as long as I don't fall again :0) I'll see him again on June 9th.
Can't put any weight on it for 6-8 weeks, so let me know if you'd like any layouts drawn up.

When I broke my femur I was in school and broke it on the first week of summer break lol
I totally feel your pain man.
It's good that you're not in a cast though. The physical therapy was a little rough for me because my knee was really locked up from not bending for so long. Bend your knee back and forth gently if possible it will really help with the recovery
